SPRING is here and I am beyond ready for all the fun styling that comes with it! I love spring fashion because since the weather can be so unpredictable {especially here in Texas} you can utilize some transition pieces from fall/ winter to complete your look! Since it is not quite summer yet, where it's much too hot to wear long pants, I soak up every second I can to wear my fav jeans in the spring! The pair I am wearing here are quickly becoming a new fav- they are from Target's new women's line, Universal Thread {which I can't get enough of}. They are high waisted, stretchy and comfortable, and the cutest pastel pink! Pastels are SO in this year and should always be a staple in your spring wardrobe. Bonus: this year pastels go great with Pantone's color of the year- Ultra Violet!
So a great pair of jeans are key, but then next a cute bold top is a must for your spring outfit. I chose this feminine stripe tank from one of my fav boutiques, Lily Rain. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be on the website, so I linked the Instagram where you could probably comment for info on what stores it's in or to order from the post {I purchased mine from the Southlake location}! Besides the classic stripe look, what I love about this top are the details! The little bows on the top and the slightly cropped silhouette make this top more than just a classic stripe tank. I also love putting together spring looks that give off a beachy feel, like this one does- it's like a prelude to all those summer vacays to come!
A great sandal and trendy jewelry are the perfect touches to complete the spring outfit! Again, my sandals are Universal Thread from Target and not only are the cute, but more comfortable than I would have thought! At their less than $20 price point these are a total must {plus they transition great into summer}! With this outfit I decided to keep the jewelry a bit more subtle and natural to go along with that beachy feel. I actually used my birthday discount in December to make this great pair of earrings at Kendra Scott's Color Bar. I linked exactly what I picked above- and I love how the light pink plays perfectly off the pink in my jeans! You can never go wrong with Kendra jewelry!;)
Overall, spring can be a difficult season to style for since as I mentioned above the weather can be all over the place, but to me that just makes for more opportunity to showcase your creativity! Other staple pieces include: a great floral top, flowy dress, trendy light jackets/ cardigans, neutral wedges {or cute pastel heels that are SO trendy this year!}, and statement jewelry. Accessories can really make an outfit. So for spring I would invest in versatile statement accessories like fun pastel bags or bold colored earrings or a great neutral wedge!

If you have any questions or need help styling for spring please don't hesitate to reach out!

xoxo, Jess
